Hey there, you brave and determined hunger mapper! I know this journey of rewiring your mind for mindful eating can feel incredibly challenging at times.

Those old habits of automatically reacting to every food craving die hard. But I want you to know that the discomfort you're feeling is 100% normal and just means you're doing the hard work of real change.

When those intense urges for cookies/pizza/chips hit, and your mind starts scrambling to convince you that you simply MUST HAVE IT, pause.

Get curious about the craving instead of perceiving it as a command. Notice the thought, but don't fuse with it as reality. You can gently label it: "Hey there, craving for nachos. I see you."

Then use your defusion skills - thank your mind for sharing, but remind yourself that a craving is just a passing experience, not the truth. You could even speak it out loud in a silly voice to create some distance and lightness. Let it exist without acting on it automatically.

I know this level of conscious awareness around eating takes practice. Your mind will resist the new mindful patterns at first. But be proud of yourself for even trying! You're doing the hard rewiring work that most people avoid. Feel how strong you're becoming.

When you notice yourself getting fused with food thoughts again, it's not a setback - it's just practice. Smile, re-anchor in your bigger reasons for hunger mapping, and then let that craving cloud float on by. You've got this.

The psychological flexibility you're cultivating around food and eating will serve you for life. Keep prioritizing awareness over automatic obedience to cravings. You're the coach now, not that naive inner child's demands.

One defused, mindful step after another, you're getting free. You've got a whole cheerleading squad over here rooting for your success! Celebrate all you've learned so far. And don't forget to smash that like and subscribe button, so you can always turn to our videos for support and motivation on this incredible journey.
